We have developed a close working relationship with radio stations and direct clients for whom we write copy. We'd be happy to discuss your next brief with you.

Recording voices by ISDN has widened the choice of voices enormously. We hold a database of hundreds from which to cast. Simply send us a script or indicate a voice style and we'll send you our suggestions. Paul Brown is our in house voice. Take a listen to his showreel

Pretty much every style of music ever recorded is represented on the thousands of library music discs now available. Exclusively for commercial use, they can represent the most cost effective solution for many campaigns. Both mcps and buyout libraries are available together with an exclusive library of our own material. Our computer databases will help you pinpoint the type of track your project needs quickly and thoroughly, and we can deal with the licensing paperwork for you.

Smaller runs of CDR and audio cassette duplication are handled in-house through dedicated banks of recorders. Our links with specialist duplication houses allow us to negotiate the best price for larger numbers and other formats.

Wherever you've recorded your commercials, we'll be happy to distribute them to stations. We have competitive rates for transmission DAT’s, CD’s and ISDN or satellite delivery.

If you haven't had your radio or TV scripts cleared by the RACC or BACC and need help, ask us! We can also advise on controversial subject matter before its submission for clearance.

We can supply recordings as CD audio, DAT, Minidisc, Beta SP, and cassette, as well as most multimedia formats on CD Rom or by e-mail.

We're in touch with the major music publishers on a regular basis so we can negotiate copyright clearance on your behalf.

You have a choice:

1. You can use an existing copyright track which means obtaining licences from both the publisher and the record company

2. Have us re-record the track for you, which involves copyright payment to the publisher only

3. Go for a parody of the style which is free from any copyright implications.

The use of spot effects and atmospheres can make or break a production. Every LBS studio has its own dedicated carousel effects system with a computer based search engine to make locating the most appropriate effect child's play.

ISDN is the communications system that has revolutionised commercial production by freeing you from geographical limitations. In simple terms, by adding a form of low loss compression, high quality audio can be sent in real time through ISDN lines between similarly equipped studios. In even simpler terms, it means voice overs can be in a studio almost anywhere, and you can record them live, and to broadcast quality. They can hear you too. Marvellous.

At LBS, we have three ISDN lines, linked to a Prima 220, a Prima 120 and a CDQ2000. We are compatible with mpeg layer 2 & 3 and Telos Zephyr systems among others. If in doubt, please ask!
